The Luz de Arcanos deck contains 78 tarot cards divided into two main groups: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana. Each card carries unique symbolism, keywords, and interpretations that provide guidance and insight.

The Tarot Structure

Major Arcana (22 cards)

The Major Arcana represents life’s significant spiritual lessons and karmic influences. These 22 cards (numbered 0-21) depict archetypal energies and major life themes:
  • 0 - El Loco through 21 - El Mundo
  • Represents the Fool’s Journey from innocence to completion
  • Signals important life events and spiritual milestones
  • Carries more weight in readings than Minor Arcana cards

Minor Arcana (56 cards)

The Minor Arcana reflects day-to-day experiences and practical matters. These 56 cards are divided into four suits:
  • Bastos (Wands) - Fire element, passion, creativity, action
  • Oros (Pentacles) - Earth element, material world, prosperity
  • Copas (Cups) - Water element, emotions, relationships, intuition
  • Espadas (Swords) - Air element, thoughts, conflicts, clarity
Each suit contains 14 cards: Ace through 10, plus four court cards (Paje, Caballero, Reina, Rey).
